Mandatory e-invoices in Serbia
The other countries of the south-eastern region of the EU are also slowly transitioning to the mandatory receipt of eInvoices for those liable for public procurement. In the summer of 2019, Croatia joined the EU countries with regard to the mandatory receipt of eReceipts, and this year, Serbia entered the world of electronic eReceipts with a big step.
Serbia had the introduction of the mandatory sending of eInvoices by the obligee for public ordering already scheduled for 1.1.2022, and due to the unpreparedness of all stakeholders, the deadline was postponed to 1.5.2022. Serbia will take another step forward. From 1.7.2022, e-Invoices will also have to be suitable for receiving economic entities, and from 1.1.2023, electronic e-Exchange e-Accounts will become mandatory for everyone, both for public procurement entities and economic entities.
Law on the exchange of eReceipts in Serbia
Serbia will exchange its eInvoices in the EDI standard UBL 2.1 (EN), which is also one of the EU approved standards for eInvoices.
bizBox, together with its partner in Serbia, as an information intermediary, will provide a direct connection with the eSEF system (in the same way as we provide with UJP and FINA).
bizBox will offer users the exchange of eInvoices with the Serbian eSEF system, both in eSLOG 2.0 and UBL 2.1 standards, or conversion from eSLOG 2.0 to UBL 2.1 (and vice versa upon receipt).
