Advantages and greater transparency
Advantages and automation
The introduction of e-invoices brings a digital transformation of business.
Automated exchange and fiscalization of e-invoices reduce costs, speed up billing and increase data accuracy.
bizBox enables fully automated processing – from issuance to archiving of e-invoices – in accordance with the new legal requirements and UBL 2.1 standards (CIUS HR).
Greater transparency and security
Fiscalization 2.0 allows the Tax Administration to have real-time insight into actual transactions, thereby increasing transparency and reducing the risk of errors or abuse.
All data is transmitted encrypted and digitally signed, ensuring the integrity, authenticity and security of each e-invoice exchanged between companies.
Increased traceability and visibility of sent documents
From January 1, 2026, VAT taxpayers are required to issue and receive e-invoices exclusively in electronic form, while from January 1, 2027, the obligation also applies to income tax and corporate tax taxpayers.
All invoices issued and received will be fiscalized in real time and forwarded to the Tax Administration.
This introduces a single business standard for all entities in Croatia.
Valid only for accounts within Croatia.
AMS and identifiers
In order for the exchange of e-invoices to be efficient, each company must have its own identifier in the AMS (Address Book of Metadata Services).
AMS enables automatic recipient discovery and ensures connectivity between service providers and businesses.
The publication of identifiers in the AMS is crucial for the reliable and fast exchange of e-invoices among Croatian taxpayers.
Information brokers
Information intermediaries play a key role in fiscalization 2.0 – they ensure the correct transmission, digital signature, and fiscalization of each e-invoice.
Only certified intermediaries can operate in the e-invoice system.
bizBox by ZZI is an officially certified information intermediary of the Tax Administration of the Republic of Croatia, thus guaranteeing a safe, legal and automated exchange of documents.
Fiscalization and e-reporting
The new law introduces continuous reporting (real-time reporting) – all fiscalized e-invoices are automatically reported to the Tax Administration.
The system supports automatic exchange, fiscalization and e-reporting, which significantly reduces administration and speeds up tax reporting.
Companies thus gain a reliable, transparent and digitally aligned business process that facilitates daily work and supervision.
